On October 23, 2014 the final round of the 2014 AC Nielsen Case Competition was held at the Mövenpick Hotel in Saigon. Students of Hoa Sen University (HSU) surpassed all other teams and with outstanding results, they won the prize of “The most impressive team”.

This year the competition not only created an interesting environment for students to interact and experience, it also provided opportunities to undertake an internship at AC Nielsen and a chance to win valuable prizes. In this year’s competition the HSU students faced situations relating to retail sales chains such as Circle K and Seven Eleven. They were allocated 20 hours to set up a proposed development solution for the companies and 15 minutes for presenting their proposal entirely in English to a panel of judges who are senior managers of the AC Nielsen Company.
By overcoming many teams, the students impressed the judges
The competition is an annual event held by AC Nielsen of Vietnam to solve business cases. It is an opportunity for students to experience an actual business environment as well as a place for outstanding students of universities in the City to get together. Those schools included were the University of Economics, the Foreign Trade University, the University of Economics and Laws, FPT University, RMIT University, the University of Economics and Finance at Hoa Sen University, the Ho Chi Minh City International and National University.
The results of the competition were as follows: RMIT University won the Championship prize, Ho Chi Minh City International University/National University and the Foreign Trade University won the Runner-up prize; and Hoa Sen University won “The most impressive team” prize.
