On May 16th Hoa Sen University held a cultural exchange event between its staff and students and the delegation of Rajabhat Rajanagarinda University, Thailand. On this occasion, the two universities had an opportunity to introduce the typical features of their respective culture.
The event began with a traditional Thai dance performed by two RRU lecturers.. The dance was followed by a Vietnamese folk song named “Trong com” sung in acapella style by HSU students..
Next, teachers from Cultural and Art Center of RRU showed Hoa Sen University’s members how to make Puangmahod – a kind of Thai traditional lantern made of kite-paper. Within 30 minutes, Hoa Sen conference room was decorated with colorful lantern.
Although the event was only 2 hours long, the cultural exchange program between Hoa Sen University and Rajabhat Rajanagarindra University left a good impression on both delegations. On behalf of RRU, Mr. Kasemoat Poolsawas said, “Thank you very much for your wonderful hospitality and friendship. I hope that we will have an opportunity to visit Hoa Sen University again and participate in such a welcoming exchange programmes . We will keep your friendship in our hearts forever”
